Being lucky enough to have my own studio I am able to concentrate on exploring new techniques and materials.

I am also influenced by many artists, perhaps still striving to find the style or technique of painting that suits me the best.

I haven't found it yet and am delighted to keep trying!

This painting 'Tom with The Toniks at Guildford' was influenced by one of my favourite master photographers FABIO PETTRONI and the artist JAMES BRANTLEY - I thank them both for their inspiration.

One of my favourite artists is SHIRLEY TREVENA her fabulous use of colour        and her brilliant compositions leave me in awe.

'Tulips and French Tart'  took me a surprisingly long time to paint - the thought processes behind the composition being, for me, quite difficult to work out.  I am very happy to say that at least one other person thought it an interesting painting as I sold it at the 2010 Salon International Aquarelle Exhibition in St Yrieix la Perche.
